The Mullet Edition! I’m my last update I forgot to mention I was rockin’ a mullet any hockey buff would have been proud off. I think it was pretty funny to see me in the line with the Russians at Hotel in Ramsau, I fit right in. Sadly the mullet is gone and in it’s place is a very normal/plain hairdo.
The Mullet in all it's glory!
The Mullet on a hike.
The view from the top of "mountain". It was a great hike near La Malbaie, Quebec. Other than my lack of an original hair cut, training and preparations for the coming season are going well. The old saying, “No news in good news” applies with regard to my shoulder. I’m happy to report that it’s staying strong and I haven’t had any more dislocations. Sprints, both skating and classic are good, although I do my best to be conscious of my positioning so I avoid another relapse. Training post Europe was good. After a week of pretty easy training we had a team time trial to kick start the engines and get ready for the intensity to come. I was happy to be only a little bit behind the training center’s best distance guys. The two weeks after the time trail held a lot of intensity with two to three times strength, so the training was tough. Things went well through out the work block and I came out the other end with good fitness. Sine the end of the intensity block it’s been about getting the pace of intensity up to race speed, finding top gear! It’s one of the most exciting times of the year. After a summer of hard training getting to test the “form”. As the time trials and intensities come along I’ll be sure to keep the website up to date. ‘Till then.
